On this project, the homeowner sold their home and I realized too late that I had forgotten to get “after” photos. Thankfully, I can give you a glimpse through their real estate listing pics. Even though these photos are styled for a home listing, you can still see through the before & afters what a big impact that small changes make.
In the after photo, you can see the entry was brightened up by the lighter paint color. We also replaced the pendant with a larger and more modern one. In the adjoining hallway, a crowded coat closet was converted into mudroom cabinets. We loved the metallic baskets for storing extra gear that you can see above the lockers.
In the dining room, we also made it lighter and brighter with a new coat of paint. We updated all the lighting by installing this fabulous black and brass chandelier and placing new table lamps on the sideboard. We also added a beautiful large-scale piece of art and an antelope printed rug. We kept the homeowners’ existing table and chairs, but added some custom throw pillows to the host and hostess chairs for a bit more color and coziness.

The homeowner fell in love with this amazing wallcovering by Trove for their powder bath. It depicts a historical scene from a photograph of the Venice opera house. We selected a navy tint for the wallpaper and had it embossed for a shimmering effect. The remaining walls are painted in a gorgeous navy lacquer. The high shine really allows light to bounce off the surfaces and instantly makes the small bath feel more spacious.
