Hi, I’m ALLISON! Here’s My Story:

My goal with Allison Cunningham Designs is to help make your home your favorite place to be. I decided to pursue this goal after spending over a dozen years as a securities attorney. I enjoyed my legal practice, but I was eager to spend more time with my family and to express myself more creatively. As I began focusing on decorating my own home, I was lucky enough to have friends start soliciting my design advice and so, Allison Cunningham Designs was born.

The leap from securities law to design seems fairly dramatic, but there is some significant overlap. Everyone wants to protect their investments and see their value increase. I try to advocate for design decisions that promote this long-term success. That may mean advising on quality furnishings that will outlast the trends or selecting finishes that will survive sticky fingers and dirty paws (lot of those in my house). My unique blend of creativity and business sense enables me to successfully manage these design decisions, my clients’ budgets, and my own business operations. And just like in parenting and stockholder relations, I believe open communication, honesty and respect are the keys to great relationships.
